Relation to the Environment

The company Kovona System specifies one of its priority activities as the permanent achievement of the high level of protection of the environment in several areas.

The area of waste disposal originating in the process of production is fully in accordance with the Czech Act on Waste 185/01 Coll., as amended. Waste products are consistently sorted and separately collected in stated bins and in stated places. For several years we have used a press for the pressing of waste PE foils which enables us to recycle foils and utilise waste. All waste products are regularly recorded either quantitatively or qualitatively. The decrease of waste products is our long-term environmental objective. Almost all waste products are consequently recycled in cooperation with authorized companies. The production of hazardous waste products is at the lowest, necessary level.

In the area of packing technology, the company consistently keeps to the provisions of Czech Act No. 477/01 Coll., on Packaging. The company only uses materials which are harmless to the environment and only at a minimum volume.

Due to the situation of the new plant in Český Těšín at the foothills of the Beskydy Mountains, the company pays close attention to the protection of water. Industrial waste water is treated in the waste water treatment plant.

Saving of energy is an objective which has a positive impact both on the company and on the environment. Our company successfully uses waste heat during its operation. During the production of compressed air, a large volume of heat is released, which is commonly released into the surroundings. However, Kovona System uses this heat for the heating of technological baths and the heating of the administrative building, which saves a large volume of natural gas while emissions into the open air are decreased. Due to perfect wall and ceiling insulation in the powder paint-line, it is possible to use the technological heat created for heating the production halls, which results in great savings of natural gas.

In the area of the environment, Kovona System fulfils the requirements of strict client standards. We regularly pass demanding client audits in the areas of air and noise protection, against contamination of water, disposal of chemical substances and waste products, fire protection and the protection of health and safety of employees.
